I did some research and decided on the electric ice shaver from Victorio ( Victorio VKP1100 Electric Snow Cone Maker/Ice Shaver). I was going to purchase the machine but then found this nice gift pack [item #VKP1102] Victorio VKP1102 Snow Cone Gift Pack which included syrups, straws, and snow cone cups. This particular item was shipped and sold by Amazon.com with PRIME. I ordered the item on 8/23 and it arrived quickly on Saturday morning 8/25.The price for this was great at around 45-bucks! I got hooked on SHAVE ICE when my s-i-l and daughter took us to Hawaii a couple years ago. Finding this set for 2 of my daughters and their families has been a treat for them and for me. One even dared to take it to school for a party and the kids loved it! It is durable, does a magnificent job shaving the ice and of course getting the flavors is half the fun! This machine is undoubtedly the best one out there! Highly, highly recommend you get one for your family.

I haven't had the chance to use the Victorio machine yet, but am trusting that it is fine. There is a concern about the syrups however. Two of them were not sealed and am hoping they have not been tampered with in some way.
